It’s your birthday and you have received lots of gifts from all your friends and family. Of course, you would want to open them up right away, and you do. You get shirts, shoes, zippo lighters, and other various items. And then you open one particular present. At first glance, it looks new and never-been-used. But then you find traces of a gift wrapper that’s definitely not the one that it was wrapped in. Then it hits you. You have been given a regift.

It could be something that that you may have done in the past or something that you experienced once or twice in your life, but really, do you think that it’s okay to regift? Lots of people have various opinions about regifting. Some would approve, while others would not.

Every year, you would receive lots of presents, especially during Chrismas. Some of these items are ones that you already have or things that you don’t really need. For example, you get two or three passport wallets. What would you do with all of them when you already have one? Well, you do have an option to return them to the store and have them exchanged, or you can rewrap those items and give them to someone else.

Before you do choose on really regifting the items, you have to ask yourself this question: would you want to receive a regift? If no, do you think the person whom you are giving a regift would appreciate getting one, too? You should think about that. You don’t want to do something which you don’t want to be done to you.

But still, the question remains on what to do with those credit card holders and pens when you already one too many of them? You do have the option of donating them to charity. There are lots of people who need those items more than you do, and they would be more than happy to receive them.

Remember, you don’t want to receive a regift, nor does the person whom you are contemplating to give a regift to. Be grateful that you even received gifts, and if you have something that you can’t use, give them to charity.
